About the Symposium

The ISAJ Annual Symposium is an interdisciplinary symposium encompassing all areas of science and technology, being organized by the Indian Scientists Association in Japan (ISAJ), a Japan-based NPO since 2010.

Main Theme of the Symposium

• Over the last few decades, Japan’s role in India’s urban transformation has been significant, primarily through financial and technical assistance in infrastructure development, particularly in the transportation and urban planning. Japan also extends technical assistance and knowledge transfer in areas such as disaster management and sustainable urban development.
• Institutions from Japan are collaborating more closely with Indian universities and research centers than ever.
• In view of 2025–2026 being celebrated as the India-Japan Year of Science, Technology, and Innovation Exchange, this symposium will focus on the role of the Japan-India partnership in accelerating science, technology, and circular innovation for India’s urban transformation.
• The symposium will provide an opportunity to the participants to listen to the domain experts from both the countries on diverse issues related to the theme of the symposium.
